CANSTRUCTION TO HELP
LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES IN OUR AREA
LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES IN OUR AREA

Canstruction Projects - yes, CANstruction projects. (Search YouTube for “Canstruction” or check out Google images……and be prepare to be amazed.) While our structures may not be as intricate or involved as some you might see on line,
knowing there is an increase in needs at local food pantries and soup kitchens, you are invited
to participate with us to design and build (canstruct) something out of cans and/or boxes of
food at Chautauqua Mall on Saturday October 15th from 12 – 4pm.
At the end of the day there will be awards handed out and the food will be appropriately distributed to area agencies that need it. You may select who receives the food you use to build your project. The day will wind up with a joyful celebration of appetizers, beverages, awards, activities and music at the Alpha Café in the Gateway Center, 31 Water Street, Jamestown 4PM-6PM.

Please challenge other organizations, sports teams, churches, etc to join you for this day of fun filled community service. Have them contact Charlie Hodges at 716 969 6407 to register.
This event is being sponsored by the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church with the purpose of raising awareness to the issues of hunger in our area as well as provide food to area food pantries.
